Camperhoeve 'On the Road Again'
Even een momentje van rust en herstel tijdens je reis...

WELCOME to the 'Farmroad N346' at Camperhoeve On the Road Again!

Dear campers! We are already working hard for the 2025 season! We hope to have everything in order again at the start of the coming season: the sanitary vehicles are being painted, the access road has been reinforced, the flower meadow has been sown, there is a new terrace and we also hope to be able to strengthen a number of camping pitches. There will be a new information board at the entrance with all the information needed to make it a great camping experience for everyone.

Welcome to our Camperhoeve with service station, WiFi, sanitary units, reception/shop, flower meadow and adjacent food forest in the outskirts of the beautiful village of Markelo.
Markelo is one of the oldest villages in Twente. In addition to the five hills, the beautiful Borkeld nature reserve with its flock of sheep is popular. The five hills are ideal for walking, cycling and horse riding routes. Markelo also has dozens of national monuments, including farms, outbuildings, estates and burial grounds. The strikingly rolling ash trees are typical of the landscape.  In fact, Markelo has a real mountain of up to forty meters high, with the original name Markelose Berg.  Around Markelo you will mainly find agricultural hamlets, where modern business operations are linked to age-old traditions.

During the weekend, Martin gives guided tours in his own enthusiastic way in 'Marts Food Forest' (food forest of 10,000 m2; designed by Martijn Aalbrecht). This can also be done by appointment (possibly supplemented with other activities to request via the contact form). See also the 'Marts Food Forest' tab

Once a week, a free tour is also given for camper guests, during which the food forest concept is explained.
In the shop, home-grown and home-made products are offered for sale to camper guests and other visitors.

The Camperhoeve is conveniently located on the 'Farmroad N346' between the towns of Goor and Lochem on the Twentekanaal and the Bolkse Beek.  The Twentekanaal starts at the IJssel north of Zutphen and flows past the towns of Eefde, Almen, Lochem, Goor, Delden and Hengelo to its terminus in Enschede. The art town of Diepenheim is also close to the Camperhoeve. Diepenheim may be the smallest 'town' in Twente, but it has the highest 'castle density' in the region. There are six castles with extensive estates in and around the town. It is beautifully situated on the winding river Regge.
Many fun, adventurous, pleasant, active and sporty trips can be made from the Camperhoeve in both Twente and the Achterhoek. There are also many places in the area where you can enjoy a delicious meal or go out.
